Abstract

Introduction: If hypertension is managed poorly, it will cause other diseases such as stroke, heart failure, kidney failure, and so on. Then the patient will feel afraid that anxiety can occur. To overcome these conditions need to do therapy to overcome anxiety, one of which is murottal therapy. Objective: This case study illustrates nursing care in hypertensive patients with anxiety and the effectiveness of murottal therapy on reducing anxiety levels in hypertensive patients. Method: This method used descriptive with a case study approach to 2 people in Sampang Village. The instrument used with Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS). The score anxiety are categorized now is: normal 0-7, 8-9: light, 10-14: as middle class, 15-19: heavy, and 20: anxiety very heavy. Murottal therapy is given for 45 minutes at each meeting. Researchers conducted during 5 meetings. Result: Interventions and implementations that have been carried out in the form of nursing care in hypertensive patients with anxiety through murottal therapy conducted in 5 meetings. Murottal therapy result decreased signs and symptoms of anxiety at the initial P1 score of 14 to a score of 4 while the initial P2 score of 17 to a score of 9 and an increase in the ability of murottal therapy for 5 meetings with the initial P1 results with a score of 3 to a score of 13 while the initial P2 with score 3 becomes score 12.
