Abstract

Background: The problem of scientific papers obtained from various literature sources stating the effectiveness of carrot juice therapy in hypertensive patients in the elderly family, the number of hypertension sufferers shows that the number of hypertensive patients is 2958 patients, around 64% of 1893 patients with hypertension are elderly with a ratio of 31.6% men and 32.4% women. Management that is done to overcome the decrease in high BP is one of them with non-pharmacological treatment of carrot juice therapy. Objective: To provide an overview of elderly family nursing care by providing carrot juice therapy to changes in elderly BP with hypertension. Method: this scientific paper uses a descriptive analysis method with a case study approach. Data analysis was carried out by observation, interview and documentation. Sample 2 families with elderly development stages conducted in December to January 2020 in the Sampang Village area. Results: the results of interventions and implementation that have been carried out in the form of the results of a decrease in blood pressure. In the evaluation carried out for 7 days carrot juice therapy was given to patients with an initial BP of 150/100 mmHg and a final blood pressure of 110/80 mmHg, patient 2 with an initial BP of 140/100 mmHg and a final TD of 100/80 mmHg. So it can be concluded that the application of this carrot juice therapy can reduce blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension. Recommendations: Giving carrot juice therapy is used as a nonpharmacological traditional medicine an effective way to reduce high BP
