Abstract
Background : Diarrhea is a disturbance of bowel movements (BAB) is characterized by more than 3 times a day with the consistency of liquid stool. The most dangerous symptom of diarrhea is dehydration. Nurses as a health worker can contribute to the treatment of diarrhea in accordance. The role of research : Knowing the relationship between nurse knowledge about diarrhea with the handling of diarrhea in children in Budi Sehat Hospital. Research methods : Types of descriptive research by using correlational design.. The population taken in this study was all the nurses who served in Budi Sehat Hospital with a number of samples according to criteria of inclusion and exclusion of as many as 30 people. Research instruments are questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis using Chi Square test. Results of the study : Characteristics of the nurse based on age, gender, level of education, length of work and participation in the training at Budi Sehat Hospital as follows: The age of respondents is mostly 30-45 know, most are educated respondents D3, most nurses have a long work of 6-10 years. and. The highest number of nurses on a noon. The knowledge of nurses and the handling of good great diarrhea. Result of Ujihipotesis shows there is a relationship between nursing knowledge about diarrhea with the handling of diarrhea in children in Budi Sehat Hospital with P = 0,018. Recommendation: Hospital Budi Sehat should always perform supervision of the nurse's performance in the handling of diarrhea.
