Abstract
Background: Prevalesi breast cancer each year increasingly increased, beast cancer is ranked ke-2 an the cause of death of the larges in the world. The problem is often there is a lack of knowledge early detection of breast cancer in a breast checks own (breat selfexam techniques). The knowledge of the early detection of breast cancer can be overcome with eduction health through audio visual. Objectives: Finding out the effectiveness of health education through audio visual in women of childbearing age at Gombong 1 Public Health Center. Research Methods: This study was a pre-experimental study with one group pretestposttest design. Female agesin research subjects in Public Health Center Gombong 1. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a sample size of 100 people. The research instrument use was taken by video and knowledge level questionnaires. The analysis using is the Wilcoxon test. Results: From 100 respondents 42.0% aged 35-45 years old, 60.0% had high school education, 56.0% worked IRT, and 96% had no family history of breast cancer. Prior to health education 98% had insufficient knowledge, after 80% had sufficient knowledge and 20% had good knowledge. Statistical tests showed differences in the level of knowledge prior to health education an average of 43.85 categories of levels of lack of knowledge, after it has been conducted into 72.55 categories the level of knowledge is quite an increase in knowledge with a significance value of p value = 0,000 (sig <0.05). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate differences in the level of knowledge after health education through audio visual education in famel agesin in the Gombong 1 Public Health Center region. Recommendation: The next researchers are expected to be able to develop research using a comparison group.
