Abstract

Background: Restrictions on food intake are important for people with chronic kidney failure to maintain their body condition. Good family support can make patients obey their diet. Objective: To determine the relationship between family support and DIET adherence in hemodialysis patients. Methods: This study is a literature study on the relationship between family support and compliance with hemodialysis patients. The source used in this research is the electronic database from Google Scholar, Pubmed and Pro Quest. Key words used in this study were chronic renal failure patients, hemodialysis, family support, diet compliance. In this study, the articles used were articles from 2018 to 2020. Results: The results of the literature review showed that most patients received support from the poor category (70.6%) and most of the hemodialysis patients were not adherent to diet (68.3%). There is a relationship between family support and compliance with hemodialysis patients.
