Abstract
Background: MPASI (Food of Breastfeeding) is a drink given to babies aged more than 6 months, and complements the nutrition or nutritional needs of babies who are increasing in growth, lack of knowledge of mothers about nutritious food in babies causes babies to be malnourished. So that offering MPASI (Food of Breastfeeding) is done gradually for the baby's growth and development. Improper feeding of MPASI (Food of Breastfeeding) causes digestive problems in infants such as diarrhea, constipation, vomiting and even allergies and can affect the baby's intelligence after growing up. Objective: Describing the knowledge and understanding of the of health education using aplication to increase knowledge of the food breastfeeding for mothers of infants aged 6- 12 months. Writing Method: This scientific paper was carried out using a descriptive method with a case study approach the aims to find out a description of a situation that was objective, systematic, and accurate. The study was carried out on 3 clients who have children 6-12 months in Sumingkir Village, Kutasari District for 3 meetings with an implementation time of 30 minutes. The instruments used are booklets and questionnaire sheets. Case Study Results: The results of the evaluation conducted for 3 meetings showed an increase in knowledge of mothers after the implementation of health education education. The understanding of the three clients met the target which was originally a scale of 2 to a scale of 4. Recommendation: Clients with less knowledge of MPASI are expected to ask their local midwife or village posyandu officer.
