Abstract

Background : Giving MP-ASI is very important in the process of child growth and development, the low level of mother's education, lack of insight into knowledge and hereditary traditions are one of the factors that can influence mothers in giving MP-ASI early. Providing education to mothers can be applied with the Audio Visual method. Audio Visual media is an interesting and easy-tounderstand teaching aid. Purpose :To describe the application of educational actions to increase mother's knowledge about MP ASI with audio-visual media. Method : This research uses descriptive methods, the process of collecting data using interview techniques and questionnaires. Respondents in this study consisted of mothers of 3 mothers who had babies aged 6-10 months. The provision of MP-ASI education was carried out using the audio-visual method. Mother's knowledge was measured by giving pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Case Study Results : After MP-ASI education was conducted through audiovisual and demonstration for 3 days, it was found that the knowledge level of the three respondents increased with an average pre-test score of 66.7 to 86.7 for the post-test. Conclusion : Education on the provision of MP-ASI with Audio Visual can increase mother's knowledge about MP-ASI.
