Abstract
Background: Hypertension is another name for high blood pressure, where high blood pressure can indicate more serious health problems such as heart attacks and strokes. Although there are no symptoms and usully the patient only realizes after complications occur. To lower blood pressure non pharmacologically, it can be done with actions such as changing lifestyle and diet patterns, activities and exercises such as regular exercise, and reducing stress by doing relaxation techniques such as autogenic actions. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving autogenic relaxation techniques in lowering blood pressure in patients with hypertension problems. Methods: The scientific paper is done by using descriptive method. Data obtained through interviews, observation, and physical examination. Results: Based on the evaluation carried out for 3 meetings there was a decrease in the pain scale in patient 1 there was a decrease in the pain scale (4-0), patient 2 there was a decrease in the pain scale to (3-0), patient 3 there was a decrease in the pain scale to (3-0). Conclusion: Healthy lifestyle in hypertensive patients is important to reduce high blood pressure.
