Abstract

Background : stroke is a condition of partial or complete loss of neurological function that occurs suddenly caused by blood brain disorders due to lack of blood supply. caused can be paralyzed half the body. So to overcome this problem can be done mirror therapy, besides that it can also be done ROM exercises, acupressure therapy. The purpose of the study : to determine the effect of giving mirror therapy to increase muscle strength in stroke patients. Method : This writing uses a descriptive method, namely the scientific method that serves to describe the description of the object about what will be studied through a collection of several existing data. Results : after applying mirror therapy to increase muscle strength in stroke patients, the results showed that there was an increase in patients one from three to four, patients two from two to three, patients three from three to four. Conclusion : from the results of the study, mirror therapy can increase muscle strength in stroke patients. Recommendation : the application of mirror therapy can be used to increase muscle strength in stroke patients.
