Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a hyperglycemic disorder in which the dietary compliance factor is a positive and expected change, the healing process would be faster if the diet could be regular otherwise diabetic wounds would appear that were difficult to heal which would result in one of the psychosocial diseases, HDRS which would inhibit the individual's coping is disrupted, so that in this case the application of affirmation plays the most role in increasing self-esteem and individual coping. Objective: Describing nursing care in patients with diabetes mellitus type ii diabetic ulcers with hdrs using positive affirmation therapy. to describe positive affirmation therapy to increase situational low self-esteem in patients with type ii diabetes mellitus. Methods: The implementation time was 30 minutes for 5 days the instruments used were psychosocial nursing care, the form of signs and symptoms of HDRS, positive affirmation ability sheets, low self-esteem observation sheets, and positive affirmation SOPs. Results: Evaluation of signs and symptoms of HDRS with the highest decline was client 2 with a score of 11 being 0 (difference 11), client 3 scoring 11 becoming 1 (10) client 1 scoring 11 being 2 (difference 8) and the ability of positive affirmation of client 1 and 2 scores 3 becomes 5 (difference 2), client 3 scores 3 becomes 4 (difference 1) . Recommendation: Will be reduced situational low self-esteem using positive affirmation generalist therapy in patients with diabetes mellitus type II diabetic ulcers with situational low self-esteem using positive affirmation therapy to increase self-esteem and coping.
