Abstract

Background: Farmers frequently suffer from muscle discomfort, which is a type of musculoskeletal illness. When farmers labor, their posture and repeated movements are significant sources of pain. Muscle pain generally dissipates on its own. Muscle soreness can make it difficult for farmers to work and do their everyday tasks. Objective: Determining the effect of warm compresses boiled ginger to reduce muscle pain disorders experienced by farmers. Method: This method used a pre-experimental with a static group comparison design approach. The research sample consisted of 68 respondents it were divided into to experiment group and control group with a purposive sampling technique. This research instrument use of surfacient sheet observation sheet with a pain scale. The that analyze use the paired t-test. Research results: Based on the paired sample t-test test, the experimental group obtained p-value 0.000 < (0.05) with a mean difference of 2.29. The control group got a p-value of 0.000 < (0.05) with a mean difference of 1.24. Conclusion : There is an effect of giving warm compresses boiled ginger in reducing muscle pain disorders experienced by farmers pre and post therapy. With the mean difference in reduction is more effective for reducing muscle pain.
