Abstract

Background: Nutritional problems are a global problem that occurs in most parts of the world, one of which is in Indonesia. Nutritional problems can arise due to several factors such as food intake that is not in accordance with needs. Knowledge of nutritional problems is one of the factors in giving children the type and amount of food intake so that it affects feeding practices. Objective: Determining the relationship between the mother's educational level and the practice of feeding children with the nutritional status of children under five at the posyandu in Krandegan village. Methods: This study used a correlational method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study were 103 children aged 12-59 months at the posyandu in Krandegan village which were taken 103 through simple random sampling technique. Hypothesis used were in Spearman's Rho analysis. Research Results: The majority of the mother's education levels was high school (72.8%) and the practice of feeding children is right (86.4%). The children with good nutritional status (85.4%). The results of the analysis test showed that there was no relationship between the mother's education level and the nutritional status of children under five at the posyandu in Krandegan village (p = 0.212). There is a relationship between the practice of feeding children and the nutritional status of children under five at the posyandu in Krandelan village (p = 0.003). Conclusion: There is no relationship between the mother's education level and the nutritional status of children under five at the posyandu in Krandegan village.
