Abstract

Background: COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a virus that can cause acute respiratory syndrome. Hypertension is abnormally high blood pressure, a person is said to be hypertensive if his blood pressure is more than 140 mmHg systolic and more than 90 mmHg diastolic. Compliance with blood pressure patients to control their blood pressure is very important, with controlled blood pressure, hypertension sufferers do not experience complications that lead to death. Objectives: To determine the factors that influence patient compliance with hypertension management in the era of the covid pandemic. Methods: This research method uses a quantitative descriptive method with a cross sectional approach. The sample consists of 100 respondents, data collection using a questionnaire and analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. Results: The results showed that there was an influence between age and patient compliance with hypertension management (p = 0.016). There is an influence between knowledge and patient compliance with hypertension management (p = 0.020). There is an influence between motivation and patient compliance with hypertension management (p = 0.045). There is an influence between family support and patient compliance with hypertension management (p = 0.018). Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, family support was the most dominant factor in patient compliance with hypertension management. Recommendation: It is expected to always comply with hypertension treatment so that blood pressure remains stable or normal
