Abstract

Background: Indonesia is currently facing the Covid-19 pandemic. Coronavirus is a virus that is transmitted between humans and humans through droplets and can cause mild to severe symptoms. Therefore, the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the 5 (five) protocol (hand wash, wearing a mask, keep your distance, stay away from the crowd, reduced mobility) to avoid spreading of this virus. To comply with this, adolescents must have the correct knowledge of the coronavirus and compliance with the five protocol. Objectives: To find out correlation between knowledge and covid-19 protocol compliance of youth in Sukomulyo, Rowokele. Methods: The method used in this research is a quantitative analytic approach. This study is an observational correlation study using the design of cross sectional studies. Sampling technique is simple random sampling and obtained 320 respondents and involving 76 adolescent respondents. Data capture through questionnaires shared through google form. Results: The results of this study showed that 17 respondents with less knowledge of 15 (88.2%) who did not comply and 2 (11.8%) who obeyed the covid-19 protocol. While 59 respondents with good knowledge (69.7%) were disobedient and 21 (17.9%) were obedient. The Chi-Square Test was known as p-value 0.060, which is > 0.05. Conclusion: There is no correlation between knowledge and covid-19 protocol compliance of youth in Sukomulyo, Rowokele with p significance value (0.060). Recommendation: Adolescents must obey government regulation that comply with the covid-19 protocol to prevent and minimize the spread of the coronavirus
