Abstract

Background: Stroke is a disease that occurs suddenly due to abnormal blood circulation in the brain, which lasts more than 24 hours or can result in death. Stroke has an impact on decreasing the strength of good treatment to prevent complications, improve the patient's ability in daily activities, and the patient's quality of life. Impaired state of mobility where a person is unable to move based on conditions that interfere with movement (activity) such as decreased muscle strength. Management in increasing muscle strength with range of motion exercises is bridging exercise. Objective: Analyzing nursing care for impaired physical mobility in patients with stroke non-hemorrhagic (SNH) accompanied by the application of bridging exercise to increase muscle strength. Methods: This case study involved 5 respondents with criteria for stroke patients who experienced physical disorders accompanied by decreased muscle strength in the extremities. The intervention given refers to SIKI with the addition of the application of bridging exercise. Nursing Care Outcomes: In this study case of the five patients, namely impaired physical mobility, the intervention was given bridging exercise. This exercise is given 3x24 hours 10-15 minutes performed 8 times repetition, can be done independently (for maximum leverage). This five patients after being given bridging exercise, each patient experienced changes in muscle strength, an average of 1-2 increases from the previous strength by using Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) from a value range of 1-5. Recommendation : The results of this study can be applied to stroke patients who experience decreased muscle strength.
