Abstract

Background: Elderly is said to be the final stage in the human life cycle. Elderly is characterized by a person's failure to maintain a balance against physiological conditions associated with a decreased ability to live. In 2014 the elderly amounted to 7.49% of the total population, in 2016 it became 7.69% and in 2018 the proportion of the elderly was 8.1% of the total population. Disorders of sleep patterns are often experienced by the elderly, especially women. Al-Qur'an murotal can be used as an action to overcome sleep pattern disorders in patients. Objective: To analyze nursing care for the elderly with disturbed sleep patterns in Sidoharjo Village. Methods: This scientific paper uses a descriptive case study design. The subjects of the case study were 5 elderly people with disturbed sleep patterns. Collecting data using observation, interview and documentation studies. Results: From the five elderly after the application of murotal al-quran, the problem of sleep disturbances showed a decrease in insomnia scores before and after the application of the innovation. Conclusion: Giving murotal al-quran is effective in overcoming the problem of sleep pattern disorders in the elderly.
