Abstract
Background: The COVID-19 increasing and spreading rapidly can affect the physical and psychological conditions of healthcare professionals. One of the psychological disorders occurring during the COVID-19 pandemic is anxiety, so the health and mental well being of healthcare professionals need to be considered and supported. Objective: to determine the factors affecting the healthcare professionals anxiety at Public Health Center of Gombong 1 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: This study was descriptive analysis with a cross sectional approach. Result: Based on the results of a statistical analysis test using the Kendall Tau test, it was found that most of the respondents were at a mild level of anxiety, i.e 32 respondents (57.1%). There was correlation between the level of anxiety with marital status (p=0,027) and self/family co-morbid history (p=0,000) but not with age (p=0,112), gender (p=0,139), education (p=0,903), years of service (p=0,394), training (p=0,941), work units (p=1,000), and PPE facilities (p=0,821) of healthcare professionals. Conclusion: The factors affecting the healthcare professionals anxiety at Public Health Center of Gombong 1 during the COVID-19 pandemic were marital status and self/family co-morbid history. Recommendations: For further study, the other variables should be added, such as profession type and the level of COVID-19 knowledge of homogeneous population, and use more objective measurement for anxiety assessment.
