Abstract

Background, The phenomenon of fracture incidence in Central Java Province is around 2,700 people. Fractures causing physical injury (56%), death (24%), recovery (15%) and psychological disorders such as depression (5%). Management to reduce pain in fracture patients is to use cold compress therapy. In the Seruni room the number of fracture clients in January 2021 there were 35 cases, of which 26 cases occurred in men and 9 cases occurred in women. Research purposes, To analyze pain nursing care with the application of cold compress therapy in fracture patients in the chrysanthemum room of Prof.dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Result nursing care, Nursing diagnosis, acute pain related to physical injury agents, risk of infection related to effects of invasive procedures, and impaired physical mobility related to damage to bone structure integrity. Intervention: SLKI (pain level, L.08066) complaints of pain, grimacing, difficulty sleeping. SIKI (pain management, I.08328) Identify the location, characteristics, duration, frequency, quality, intensity of pain, provide and teach non-pharmacological techniques (cold compresses), collaborative analgesic drug administration. SLKI (infection rate, L.14137) hand hygiene, body hygiene, pain. SIKI (infection prevention, I.14539) monitor signs of infection, provide skin care, teach how to check the condition of a wound or surgical wound. SLKI (physical mobility, L.05042) pain, limited movement. SIKI (mobilization support, I.05173) identification of pain, identification of physical tolerance, movement, monitoring of general condition, early mobilization education, facilitation of movement. Evaluation: of the 5 patients experienced a decrease in pain as measured on the NRS scale (Numerical Rating Scale) from moderate pain to mild pain. Recommendation, Based on the research conducted, it was found that after the cold compress therapy action decreased the pain level, the first respondent before the action the pain level 6 became 2, the second respondent before the action the pain level 5 became 2, the third respondent the pain level 5 became 3, the fourth respondent pain level 6 to 2, and the fifth respondent pain level 6 to 3.
