Abstract

Background: In preoperative patients, anxiety problems arise so that the healing process will be disrupted if the anxiety response which is a stressor factor dominates and has a major effect on the body. It is at this time that the patient needs to prepare himself, especially in his body in order to control his stress. Autogenic relaxation is relaxation that comes from within oneself by using words or sentences that can make the heart and mind calm. Autogenic relaxation can help the body carry out orders through autosuggestion so that it can relax so that it can control its breathing, blood pressure, heart rate and body temperature. General Objective: to analyze Preoperative Patients with Autogenic Relaxation Innovation Interventions on Anxiety Reduction in the Bogenvil Room, Dr. Tjitrowardojo Regional General Hospital, Purworejo Results: The innovation of nursing actions from the data of 5 patients carried out by the author was performing Autogenic relaxation therapy as a supportive therapy which was proven to be positively able to reduce anxiety in ORIF surgery patients.
