Abstract

Background: One of the diseases suffered by the elderly is hypertension. Hypertension is defined as persistent blood pressure where the systolic pressure is above 140 mmHg and the diastolic pressure is above 90 mmHg. Patients with hypertension can cause several symptoms, namely damage to the central nervous system, headache, dizziness, fatigue, blurred vision, feeling not relaxed, difficulty sleeping, restlessness and feeling uncomfortable, high blood pressure. Purpose: This case study aims to analyze gerontic nursing care with Swedish massage innovation in Nursing Diagnosis of Disorders of Comfort in Hypertensive Patients in Padangjaya Village, Majenang District. Method: This scientific work uses a descriptive method with a case study approach on 5 elderly hypertension with impaired sense of well-being. The nursing care process was carried out for four meetings with the provision of Swedish massage therapy four times. Each therapy session was given 30 minutes. Result: Nursing care In the initial assessment of elderly clients with impaired sense of comfort showed a high systolic blood pressure of 175-200 mmHg. After 4x30 minutes of swedish massage therapy, all clients showed an average decrease in systolic blood pressure of 24.2 mmHg Recommendation: Swedish Massage Therapy Recommendations can be used to overcome comfort disorders in Hypertensive clients.
