Abstract
Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the challenging health problems for health professionals. Diabetic patient needs appropriate treatment by health professional to obtain good management and to prevent diabetes’ complications. The management usually starts with lifestyle changes such as healthy nutritional foods. Objective: to describe nursing care of fulfilling nutrition need to the family of Mrs. R at Gombong II Community Health Center. Discussion: The main nursing diagnosis was ineffective health maintenance. Intervention and implementation done to solve the diagnosis were health education about DM, DM gymnastics, and healthy nutrient using leaflet. Results: Evaluation showed that the problem of ineffective health maintenance has been resolved.
