Abstract
Background: The use of MCH handbooks can be an effective medium for enhancing knowledge and attitudes of maternal and child health research. Information about determinants of interest in readingMCH books was expected to design maternal and child health events. The application of the MCH handbook will affect the increase in knowledge ofmothers and families and children, to move and empower citizens to live in good health, to increase public access to quality health services and improve monitoring systems and health information. Objective: Determined the level of knowledge of pregnant women on the MCH handbook. Methods: This research was a quantitative descriptive with a case study approach. Data obtained from the questionnaire scores. Respondents consisted of 5 pregnant women from TM II and TM III. The instruments used were pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Results: After conducting health education through theMCH book, 4 respondents were in the good category, while 1 participant was in the sufficient category. Conclusion: The implementation of health education was 100% effective in increasing the knowledge of pregnant women about the MCH handbook. This was shown in 5 respondents before and after being given health education
