Abstract

Background: The impact of promiscuity leads adolescents to deviant behavior such as free sex, eventually leading to abortion. Abortion cases were one of the biggest contributors to death in Indonesia, this was due to the low knowledge of young women about the impact of abortion. Therefore, the authors were interested in implementing interactive videos in providing education on the impact of adolescent female abortion. Objective: The aimed was to determine the effect of interactive video media on the knowledge of young women about the impact of abortion. Method: This researched was a qualitative descriptive with a case studied design. Data obtained from the questionnaire scores. Respondents consisted of 6 teenagers aged 15-18 years. The instruments used was pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Result: After education about the impact of Abortion for Teenage Girls with interactive videos, there was an increase in knowledge about the impact of Abortion on all respondents with good category. Conclusion: Interactive video education media could helped increase the knowledge of young women about the impact of abortion.
