Abstract

Background: It is estimated that 50% of post-partum deaths occur in the first 24 hours. Involution disorders cause complications which are the main cause of maternal death. Most post-partum mothers do not get gymnastics after giving birth. They are only recommended for mobilization without planned guidance. Purpose: To apply post-partum exercise to determine the effect of post-partum exercise on decreasing uterine involution in post-partum mothers at PMB Diana Yulita, STr, Keb. Methods: This type of research was a case study. Data were obtained from journals, e-books, observation sheets and checklists. There were five participants who did puerperal gymnastics. The five participants met the inclusion criteria. The research instrument used was an observation sheet and a checklist sheet. Results: After the application of post-partum exercise to reduce uterine involution in postpartum mothers to 5 participants, the results of the decrease in uterine fundal height were all normal participants with a decrease (< 5 cm and > 9 cm). Suggestion: Participants need to increase energy in every gymnastic movement in order to get a cooperative movement so that it can be maximized in the post-partum gymnastics movement.
