Abstract
Background: Mental disorders are clinical syndromes or mental or behavioral patterns that occur in a person and are associated with distress, disability, or accompanied by a significant increase in risk such as loss of freedom, disability that can lead to illness, or even loss of life. Problems with mental disorders that often occur in the world are sensory perception disorders: such as hallucinations. Hallucinations are false perceptions or thoughts about objects, images and thoughts that occur without external stimulation to the sensory system, which can be felt but cannot be proven. The way that can be done to control hallucinations is by applying generalist therapy and gardening innovation therapy. Objective:To Analyze Nursing Care for Clients with Sensory Perception Disorders: Hallucinations through Gardening Therapy with Polybags at Dosaraso Shelter of Kebumen. Methods:The method of this research is a case study approach in the form of nursing care, to 5 hallucinating patients as many as 6x meetings with a length of 50 minutes in 1x meetings. The instruments used are mental nursing care formats, hallucination signs and symptoms sheets, patient ability observation sheets, Standard Operating Procedures for hallucinations and gardening therapy, activity schedule sheets, nursing kits, and media for gardening such as polybags, chili plants, soil, dry husks and compost. Nursing care results:Nursing problems in this case study namely sensory perception disorders: hallucinations. intervention and implementation is done by applying generalist therapy and gardening therapy innovation. The results of the nursing evaluation showed a decrease in signs and symptoms of hallucinations, as well as an increase in the patient's ability to control hallucinations. The greatest decrease in signs and symptoms in the five patients experienced a decrease in the average score of 6,2 (81,5%) to a score 0 (100%), while the ability of the five patients experienced an increase in the average score of 3,6 (45%) from a average score of 4,4 (55%) to a score of 8 (100%) Recommendations: Generalist therapy and gardening therapy are recommended to be applied to patients with hallucinations.
