Abstract
Background: Perineal tear occurs in nearly all primiparous mother delivery. The pregnancy visit rate in February up to April in private miidwifery clinic of Sri Sudarsih at Panjer, Kebumen reached 80 pregnant mothers. There were 8 normal deliveries – six of them had perineum stitches wound. Three of the six had a slow healing of their perineal wound. It took 10 days due to nutritional patterns and hygine incorrect pattern. One way to accelerate wound healing of the perineum in addition to using traditional medical drugs is red sirih leaf and by consuming boiled eggs. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of the use of red boiled sirih leaf water and the consumption of boiled eggs in the healing process of perineum wound. Methods: This study is a descriptive qualitative with a case study approach on Mrs.K in private midwifery clinic of Sri Sudarsih on April 9-14. The data analysis used were the editors, data presentation and verification. The conclusion in this paper was based on the presentation of data. Result: The implementation of the healing innovation was by using boiled red betel leaf and by consuming boiled eggs. The result was that the wound healing of Mrs. K took 6 days. It is shown that the wound was dry and the tissues of perineal wound had been perfectly fine. Conclusion: The use of red sirih leaf and the consumpton of boiled eggs were very good to be done for postpartum mothers, especially for those who have a perineum rupture.
