Abstract
Background: Puerperal maternal mortality in Indonesia is mostly by bleeding. Bleeding is a complication of childbirth that leads to maternal morbidity and mortality. Uncontrolled bleeding supports for about 20%-25% of maternal mortality. This is the most serious risk. That makes the writer interested in innovating oxytocin massage. This is one of the efforts to maintain uterus contraction and retraction by giving oxytocin massage to prevent the bleeding. Objective: Knowing the effect of oxytocin massage to accelerate uterus involution. Method: This scientific paper is a qualitative descriptive with a case study approach. The data was obtained by collecting primary data and secondary data. The data processing was done by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusion. Result: After having oxytocin massage on Mrs. I, the height of uterus fundus was declining faster, the lochea volume was flowing faster, and the milk production was increasing. Conclusion: Oxytocin massage is an effective way to accelerate uterus involution
