Abstract

Background: Compliance in implementing health protocols was a way to prevent and break the chain of transmission of COVID-19, especially in the world of education which was prone to COVID-19 transmission. Many factors affect compliance in carrying out health protocols, one of which was knowledge. Objectives: This study was conducted to determine the relationship between knowledge about covid-19 and compliance with applying health protocols to students at SD Negeri Karangpakis 02. Methods: This research was a quantitative research, correlational design, Cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study ware 45 students of grade 4, 5, 6 SD Negeri Karangpakis 02 which were taken by total sampling. Knowledge & compliance variables were measured using a questionnaire. Data analysis used statistical test with Spearman rank. Results: The results showed that the average age was 11 years, most of whom were women (53.3%), the level of knowledge of COVID-19 was in a good category (66.7%), compliance with health protocols was in the moderately obedient category (46.7%) and there was a significant relationship between knowledge about COVID-19 and compliance with implementing health protocols. Conclusion: The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge about COVID-19 and compliance with applying health protocols to students at SD Negeri Karangpakis 02. (pv = 0.033 < 0.05).
