Abstract

Background: Nurse caring behavior is the behavior shown by nurses when providing care, such as giving comfort, attention, respect, caring, skills, encouragement, health, protection, caring, support, touch and preparation to help, meet patient needs, make patient visits. Objetive: To find out the description of the perception of BPJS PBI patients in the Barokah Ward of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method: Method with a cross sectional approach. The study population of all inpatients in the barokah ward in October 2021 was 226 patients. Samples in this study number 69 patients were taken using purpusive sampling techniques. Research instruments using paint questionnaires Caring Assesment Tools (CAT). Data processing is done univariously. Result: The univariate results showed that 50,7% of nurses in the inpatient room had good caring behavior and 49,3% of nurses in the inpatient room behaved poorly. Conclusion: Most BPJS PBI patients in the Barokah RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong have a perception of good nursing behavior. Caring behavior based on the corrosive factors in the interpersonal teahing and meeting of human needs. Whereas deficient categories are indicated in sensitivity to oneself and others. Recommendation: The next researchers are expected to conduct a case study on the determinants of patient perceptions of nurses' caring attitudes with the implementation of nurses' caring attitudes in addition to age, gender, education factors, so as to improve the quality of nursing services.
