Abstract

Background: The agricultural sector is a very important sector of economic development in Indonesia. The agricultural sector is one of the sectors are in the process of work there are positive and negative impacts. The negative impact due labor is always interacting with the job and work environment which contains hazard. Moreover, Indonesia's agricultural sector, many have not noticed controlling risk, the risk that there is negligible and does not optimally controlled. Risk control is not carried out in the agricultural sector will result in the level of workplace accidents / trauma is increasing. Objective: To determine the incidence of trauma on farmers in Semampir, Selogiri, Karanggayam Methods: This study used a descriptive method with survey approach. Samples of 60 farmers were taken by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Results: This study resulted in the finding that the majority of respondents had suffered bruises, abrasions, lacerations, cuts, puncture wounds, and insect bitten. Most respondents were traumatized during the rainy season during the daytime. Most respondents were traumatized during hoeing, weeding crops, land clearing, and harvesting crops. Most respondents let the trauma and do not take action to care health authority but only a self-treatment, perform traditional medicine, and buying drugs in a stall to treat the trauma they experienced.
