Abstract
Background: Cervical cancer or cervical cancer is a disease characterized by the presence of uncontrolled cell growth and abnormal cell spread. In Indonesia, the estimated total new cases of women affected by cervical cancer in 2020 aged 15-49 years reached 13,668 (9.6%) from 256,243 cases and the death rate from cervical cancer reached 4,692 (9.7%) from 92,612 cases. Indonesia has a program to prevent cervical cancer consisting of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention. Coverage of early detection of cervical cancer using the IVA method at Public Health Center of Gombong I is (19.11%) Objective: to describe the cervical cancer prevention behavior of women of reproductive age couple in Kedungpuji at Public Health Center of Gombong I. Methods: This study used quantitative descriptive method with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique with the samples of 79 women. The instrument were questionnaires about knowledge, attitudes, and cervical cancer prevention measures. Results: Knowledge of respondents in the sufficient category as many as 39 people (49.4%), attitudes in the sufficient category as many as 41 people (51.9%), and preventive measures in the sufficient category as many as 45 (57.0%). Conclusions: Knowledge, attitude, and prevention of cervical cancer of women of reproductive age couple in Kedung Puji Village at Public Health Center of Gombong I are in the sufficient category. Recommendation: For further researchers, it is hoped that they can develop this research with qualitative research methods to reveal deeper about cervical cancer prevention behavior.
