Abstract

Background:Gastritisdisorderisinflammationorbleedinginthestomachwall causedbyirritants,infections,andirregularitiesinthediet.Thisproblem often occursinadolescence,ifleftuncheckeditwillleadtoseriousdiseases.Many teenagersinIndonesiatakeforgrantedtheproblem ofgastritisdisorderand eventhiswillnotbeabigproblem. Objective:Knowingtherelationshipofdiettotheonsetofgastritisdisordersin adolescenceatSMKMa'arif5Gombong. Research Methods:Themethod used inthisstudyiscrosssectional.The sampling techniquewasperformed using non-probabilitysampling with the purposivesamplingmethodandcontinuedwiththetotalsamplingtechniqueand 82 respondents were obtained.Data collection was carried outthrough questionnairestostudentsatSMKMa'arif5Gombong. Results:Theresultsofthestudyfrom thecharacteristicsofrespondentsthatthe sexesweremorewomen(64.6%)thanmenasmanyas(35.4%),andbasedon theageofrespondentstheaveragewasthemostattheageof16years(30.5%) and atleastthe age of19 years (9.8%).The results ofthe studyin the relationshipofdietwiththeincidenceofgastritisfrom 82respondentsthere were45respondents(86.5%)withagooddietnotgastritis,7respondents(13.5%) withagooddietgastritis,7respondents(23.3%)withabaddietwithnogastritis, and23respondents(76.7%)withabaddietgastritis. Conclusion:Thereisasignificantrelationshipbetweendietandtheonsetof gastritisdisordersinadolescenceatSMKMa'arif5Gombong. Recommendation:Theresultsofthisstudycanbeasourceofnew teaching methodsaswellasprovidinghealtheducation.
