Abstract
Introduction, hypertension is blood pressure over normal threshes where systolic blood pressure over 140 MMHG and or diastolic blood pressure over 90 MMHG occurring on one of the three separate occasions, hypertension patients with pharmacology and nonpharmacology. A nonpharmacological protocol would include musical therapy. Music therapy is a nonpharmacological therapy that can lower blood pressure with heard stimuli. Much of the music is used as a therapy of sundanese flute. The flute was instrumental in producing beautiful notes and harmony. Purpose, to know the effect of traditional Sundanese fluet musical therapy, on the blood pressure of elderly with hypertension at Kretek village. Methods, the study uses the quasi experiment method with pre test and post test. Blood pressure compared to before and after hearing the traditional sundanese music therapy. The study was carried out in the village of kretek. With 30 respondents using the total sampling and using the analysis independent sample t test Results, the results of the study based on the independent test of the t test were found to have significant value p-value cytole blood pressure (0,000) and value diastole blood pressure (0,000), and no more than approximate (0.05), which suggests that there has been an effect of giving traditional sundial music therapy to a drop in blood pressure on hypertensive patients in Kretek's village. Conclusion, there is the influence of traditional musical therapy of sundials on hypertensive older people in the village of Kretek in intervention groups. Recommendation, older people with hypertension can perform independently using traditional music therapy of Sundanese flute as non - pharmacological medicine, easily performing at home and without side effects.
