Background: Families with school-age children are families who have their first child aged 3 to 6 years. Children with developmental disorders occur because lack of knowledge about developmental delays and parental attention can reduce children's opportunities to validate language skills. Purpose:Writing scientific papers is to provide an overview of family nursing care at the stage of development of school-age children with the problem of knowledge deficit about developmental stimulation in children. Methods: This research uses a case study approach to the family or the so-called descriptive analytical case study method. The data collection process used interview, observation, filling out questionnaires and pretest posttest. This study consisted of 3 respondents from the assisted families in Blabak Hamlet Rt.02 Rw03, Karangtengah village, Poncowarno sub-district. Results: after education and therapy playing snakes and ladders showed an increase in language development, and the three respondents in the unstable category and the suspect category went to the normal category. Recommendation: the application of snake and ladder play therapy is a way to improve language development in pre-school age children.
