Abstract

Background: in a very important aspect of development, namely language, which is passed by development is ana language which is used in order to convey what is desired, hope, and thought or request which will be used in the association of fellow age groups. Children who learn the language will later get good language skills, which of course will be easy to communicate with the environment of their age. To do play therapy using hand puppet media to improve language skills in preschool age children. Objective: To describe nursing care for clients by applying the application of hand puppet play therapy to improve language skills in preschool-aged children Research Methods: this scientific paper uses a case study descriptive method. The subjects were 3 pre-school children (5-6 years old) who were given play therapy using hand puppet media for three meetings. Measurement instrument using DDST sheet. Case Study Results: Therapy using hand puppet media is proven to be an effective therapy to improve language skills in preschool age children. Conclusion: the application of play therapy using hand puppet media can improve language skills in preschoolers
