Abstract

Background: Since the existence of Covid-19 and the decision of the Ministry of Education and Culture who set online learning, this raises impact positive and negative for elementary school children and their parents. The problems that arise are stress on parents of elementary school children, such as: lack of understanding material, difficulty grow interest study child, obstacle internet network and other. In addition, 49% of parents experience pressure in online learning, 21% have parent-child relationship problems, and 30% of parents experience problems in using electronics. Based on the results of the preliminary study data in Kewangunan Village, the number of school-age children from the age of 7 to 12 years is 517 children, 255 children for boys and 262 for girls. The results of interviews that have been conducted, it was found that 3 out of 10 parents considered that home learning was still able to improve the quality of children's learning, while 7 of the parents thought that online learning was not beneficial for parents, because at home children could not interact with teachers and socialize with friends, as well as children tend to be spoiled by handing over all tasks to parents Objective: Knowing the effect of online learning on the stress of parents of elementary school children during the Covid -19 pandemic. Research Methods: The research design in this study is the type of survey used to find out the general description of the characteristics of the respondents. Sample study this as many as 84 respondents, who were taken use purposive sampling. Data analysis use univariate analysis for see distribution frequency respondents. Results: Based on the stress level of parents of first-born children aged 7-12 years tend to have moderate stress levels, as many as 49 respondents (58.3%), and it was found that most of the respondents in online learning with poor categories had moderate stress levels, namely as much as 40 people. Conclusion: People's stress levels know deep face online learning is in the moderate stress category. Recommendation: Agency education expected could develop innovative online method in delivery material.
