Abstract
Background: A family with a newly married couple is the beginning of a family that begins with the union of two individuals bound by marriage. The problem that is often experienced by families of newly married couples is the lack of information related to preparing for health problems that have many risks, one of which is the risk of pregnancy with stunting. Objective: To provide an overview of family nursing care at the stage of development of a new family with ineffective family health management problems. Method: This study uses a case study approach to families or is called a case study analytical descriptive method. The process of collecting data using interview techniques, observation, measurement and pre test post test. This research consisted of 3 respondents from fostered families in Pekuncen Village, Sempor District. Results: The results of the case study of the three respondents obtained data that the three respondents did not know about health problems and were confused by the three in deciding what health problems such as stunting caused them as well as the impact so that nursing diagnoses emerged as ineffective family nursing management. From this diagnosis, nursing interventions were carried out in the form of 5 education sessions accompanied by a pre-test post-test and encouraging families to implement monitoring through a healthy schedule by measuring nutritional status. From the nursing actions carried out during the 12 day meeting, an evaluation was carried out with an increase in the percentage of knowledge from the three respondents by 30% and the improvement in the client's nutritional status increased gradually by implementing clean and healthy living behaviors. Conclusion: after 12 days of implementation of the meeting, it was shown that the three respondents experienced an increase in the cognitive status and the nutritional status of the respondents gradually increased. Recommendation: family health education about stunting can be applied to address effective family health management.
