Abstract

Background : Self-medication is a medical effort in treating disease without consulting a doctor first to deal with minor complaints and ailments. Excessive use of drugs can cause serious effects or medication errors. Pharmacy staff consisting of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians play an important role in providing drug information so as to improve service quality. Increasing the quality of service to provide satisfaction to patients and society. Measuring satisfaction with self-medication services in pharmacies is an indicator to determine the quality of self-medication services. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the level of satisfaction with self-medication services at Rowokele and Galenica Pharmacies, Kebumen Regency based on five dimensions, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, tangibles, and empathy. Methods: This research is a descriptive study, the data collection tool used is a questionnaire with purposive sampling with a total of 100 respondents with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: From the results of the study showed overall satisfaction results on 5 dimensions, namely Rowokele Pharmacy 77.90% and Galenica Pharmacy 79.72% in the satisfied category. Based on the results of the chis-squere test, there is a significant relationship between education level and the reliability dimension. Conclusion: From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that consumers are satisfied with self-medication services at Rowokele Pharmacy and Galenica Pharmacy, Kebumen Regency. Recommendation : it is necessary to carry out further research using different analyzes such as the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), Pontential Gain in Customer Value (PGCV), and gap analysis.
