Abstract

Background Breast cancer is one of many disease that the people feel fear about it especially for a woman. During ill period and therapy period, patient have to face the cancer and other problems that can make stress for their mental. The effort to restrict impact of negative stress can be done by stress management. Stress management is an intervention by an individual to control stress resourcesto minimize negative effect of stress. Objective To analyze management stress illustration about breast cancer patient that still having chemotherapy in Kebumen Regency. Method A kind of descriptive qualitative research with phenomenology approach. There are 5 interviewed person by using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected by doing a deep interview and observation. Result There are 3 thopics that can be obtained from this research, there are stress resources, social support and stress management. Conclusion Generally there are 2 ways to do stress management that have been done by the informan. There are by doing spiritual activity and daily activity normally to control the informan’s feeling. Recommendation for breast cancer patient
