Abstract
Background: Hospitalization for children and families is an experience that threatens and stressors, both of which can lead to a crisis for children and families. Parents will also feel so anxious and afraid of her condition and the type of medical procedures performed. Invasive measures obtained during the child's hospitalization often cause prolonged trauma. One invasive procedure performed in children is through intravenous therapy (intravenous infusion). Objective: To reveal the anxiety level of the families and children in hospital infusion action Kebumen . Methods: This study used a descriptive survey method in this study population was pre-school age children are undergoing treatment in hospital wards Bed Kebumen in 2012 is 313 children. . 32 samples were taken using simple random sampling technique analyzes the data using frequency distributions. Results: Based on the research conducted showed that the response of the patient's family to act Kebumen infusion in hospitals most experienced anxiety at being the 93.8% level. Most children (84.4%) in hospitals Kebumen anxiety being experienced at the time of infusion actions
