Abstract
Background: Post partum infection wash the second leading cause of maternal death in Indonesia after bleeding. The maternal mortality rate has been known since ancient times and has not changed much. The causes of AKI in Indonesia are bleeding, preclampsia, and eclampsia. Factors that cause puerperal infections can come from tears in the birth canal which are the entry points for microorganisms Objective:Describe nursing care in spontaneous postpartum mothers with infection risk problems that include assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Method: The research method used wash using descriptive methods and with REEDA scale measuring instruments. Results: Obtained wounds in the perineum, diagnosis of infection risk, implementation of betel leaf cooking water as vulva hygiene. The result after the action wash that there are no signs of infection. Conclusion: The last evaluation obtained wash that perineal infection in clients wash reduced, clients can vulva hygiene using green betel leaf boiled water. Recommendation:It wash important for nurses to be able to perform intense spontaneous postpartum nursing care and health education for postpartum mothers to promote health and prevention of postpartum infection
