Abstract
Background: Pneumonia is a disease in which there is an infection in the acute respiratory tract which has symptoms of coughing with also shortness of breath due to the presence of infectious agents which include viruses, bacteria, mycroplasma and aspiration of foreign substances in the form of inflammation of the lungs accompanied by consolidation and exudation according to NANDA Nic -Noc, 2015. Objective: Analyzing Nursing Care for Children with Pneumonia Patients with Ineffective Airway Clearance at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital, Purwokerto. Research methods: This research method uses a case study design to explore the problem of nursing care in patients who have pneumonia with the main nursing problem of ineffective airway clearance with chest physiotherapy intervention at Prof.Dr. Hospital. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Conclusion: In chest physiotherapy measures to see the results obtained by the authors using observation of ineffective airway clearance. In the action of chest physiotherapy, the authors got the results of the respiratory frequency, there was a change within normal limits, which is less than 30 minutes, the rhythm of breathing became regular, the breath sounds of 4 clients were vesicular and 1 client still had rhonchi, the use of auxiliary muscles of breathing using chest breathing. This shows that there is a significant effect on chest physiotherapy measures on ineffective airway clearance. Results: In the results of chest physiotherapy innovation, it was found that 5 clients experienced a change in the respiratory frequency to <40 x/minute, the rhythm of breathing became regular, the breathing sounds of 2 clients were sudan vesicular but 1 client still had fine wet rhonchi, the use of auxiliary muscles, namely using chest breathing. Recommendation: for further research it is expected to be able to examine the use of red ginger aromatherapy in respiratory problems.
