Abstract
Background: Genesis emergency happens a lot every day. Response time depends on the speed and quality of the relief available to save lives / prevent disability. Emergency patient care plays a very important time saving is based on rules of live saving. Mechanisms of response time, in addition to determining the breadth of damage to internal organs, also can reduce the burden of financing. Objective: This study was to determine the factors that affect the length of the response time in emergency care in the ER Hospital Dr. Sudirman Kebumen. Methods: The research method with cross sectional approach. Selection of the sample with a total sampling as many as 24 respondents. Independent variables include characteristics of the patient based on the level of severity (Triage), the skills of nurses and workload. The research instrument uses observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis technique using chi square test at 95% significance level (α 0.05). Results: Most of the nurses have a proper response time by 18 (75.0%). Statistical analysis showed no association between response time with the gravity (Triage) (p = 0.801), there is a relationship between response time with the skills of nurses (p = 0.007), there is a relationship between response time and work load (p = 0.003). Conclusion: Response time nurse in the emergency services in the ER Hospital Dr. Sudirman average Kebumen right. The gravity (Triage) no relationship, no relationship skills of nurses, there is a relationship workload. Advice to the nursing profession in order to maintain the existing response time so as to improve nursing services.
