Abstract
Background: One of the main health problems in modern society today is stroke. Stroke is increasingly becoming a serious problem that is faced almost all over the world. This is because a sudden stroke can result in death, physical and mental disability in both productive and old age (Junaidi, 2016). The way to minimize disability after a stroke is rehabilitation. One way to rehabilitate stroke sufferers is exercise therapy, namely holding a rubber ball. Objective: To analyze the analysis of nursing care with innovative interventions of rubber ball handheld therapy for motor strength problems in stroke patients in the ICU room of PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng Hospital. Method: This scientific writing uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. This scientific writing uses a descriptive case study design. The subjects of the case study were 5 stroke patients who had impaired physical mobility. Collecting data with observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. Results: The results of the study showed that the patient complained of difficulty moving the upper extremities. The priority nursing diagnosis in Patients I-V is impaired physical mobility related to neuromuscular disorders as evidenced in the five patients who complained that the right upper extremity appeared weak, assisted in activities and decreased muscle strength by 3/3. Nursing interventions carried out, namely nursing interventions in stroke patients focusing on the application of rubber ball handheld therapy. Evaluation of the five patients was achieved with the patient's indicators saying they were better than before. Weak right extremity, Activities are still assisted, Muscle strength has increased to 4. Conclusion: The application of nursing implementation innovations in stroke patients with rubber ball handheld therapy is an increase in muscle strength to 4.
