Abstract

Backgroud: There are so many renal failure patient who undergo hemodialisa at Dr. Soedirman Kebumen Hospital. There are 47 people in the end of 2014 and 77 people in the middle of 2015. As we know, Hemodialisa can affect the self concept of patient. The patients who undergo hemodialisa in a long time can adapt to the disease easily. Furthermore, by giving the health education to the patient shows the better adjustment of patients’ condition. Purpose: To know the description of the patients’ self concept who undergo hemodialisa at Dr Soedirman Kebumen Hospital Method : This research uses the descriptive method with Cross Sectional Approach. The population which is used in this research is Total sampling. The samples are 35 patients. The data analysis uses Frequency Distribution and Univariat Analysis. Results: Based on the research, there are 26 ( 74,3%) respondent having positive self-image, 33 (94,3%) respondent having ideal self-realistic, 32 ( 91,4%) having high self-esteem and 29 (82,9) having role satisfied. Conclusions: The descriptions of the patients’ self concept who undergo hemodialisa at Dr. Soedirman KEbumen Hospital are positive self-image, ideal self-realistic, high self-esteem and role satisfied
