Abstract
Background: Hemorrhagic stroke is caused by bleeding or clots in the brain tissue ressulting in a lack of blood supply which can lead to impaired cerebral tissue perfusion and paralysis or weakness ( hemiplegia ). Then there is a need for treatment to maximize oxygen supply to the brain, namely by giving a 30° head elevation. Objective: Describe nursing care by applying a 30° head elevation in hemorrhagic stroke patients in the HCU Room of Prof. Hospital. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Methods: This case study used a descriptive method involving 5 patients who had impaired cerebral tissue perfusion in hemorrhagic stroke. The data obtained using pre and post observation sheets which will then be assessed to establish the diagnosis, then the action taken is giving a 30 degree head elevation. Results: After the intervention was given a head elevation of 30 degrees The results showed that there was an increase in oxygen saturation, in which of the five patients experienced increased awareness, decreased anxiety, improved weakness, and 2 out of 5 patients with high blood pressure Conclusion: The results of this case study show an improvement in the patient's condition with evidence of an increase in saturation before and after the application of 30 degrees head elevation. Recommendation: Application in increasing saturation is recommended to be carried out consistently in hemorrhagic stroke with impaired cerebral tissue perfusion problems.
