Abstract
Family planning (KB) is an effort to control the desired number and spacing of births by preventing or delaying pregnancies. The aim of the Family Planning Program is to improve the welfare of mothers and children and create small, happy and prosperous families through contraception and population control in Indonesia. Based on the results of the 2012-2015 Susenas, most of the PUS participating in family planning in Indonesia still rely on injectable contraceptives (59.57%) and pills (20.71%) of the total family planning users. While users of long-term contraception (MKJP), namely IUD (7.30%) and KB implants (6.21%) The purpose of this study was to describe the factors that influence the choice of IUD contraception for PUS in Susukan Village, Wanayasa Health Center Work Area 1. The research design used in this study is a descriptive research method. The population in this study were 689 couples of childbearing age in Susukan Village, Wanayasa 1 Public Health Center in 2022. The sampling technique was by sampling. The results of the research from cross tabulation of 87 respondents carried out a statistical test using the Chi-square test, it was found that there was a relationship between knowledge and the use of IUD family planning with a pvalue of 0.000. There is a relationship between husband's support and the use of IUD contraception with a p-value of 0.000. There is a relationship between attitude and IUD choice with a p-value of 0.000. There is no significant relationship between the support of health workers and the selection of IUD KB with p-value: 0.360 Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge, attitude, husband's support with the selection of IUD family planning for couples of childbearing age in Susukan Village, Wanayasa 1 Health Center. KB IUD so that family planning acceptors can use contraception effectively.
