Abstract
Background: Mother with her first baby may experience various problems, just because they do not know how to breastfeed is actually very simple, like how to put the baby on the breast when breast-feeding, the baby's sucking the nipple result in pain and many other problems. People who can help her is the person that is big influence in his life or well-respected, such as husbands, family, closest relatives, groups supporting breastfeeding mothers, doctors and health workers. Mechanical breastfeeding is one of the factors that affect milk production which if not properly feeding techniques, can cause sore nipples making breastfeeding mothers and infants rarely reluctant to suckle. Often mothers are less informed about the benefits of breastfeeding and breastfeeding technique is correct. Objective: Providing health education on breastfeeding technique by using leaflet and flipchart media for Mrs. N, a 25 year-old mother with P1A0Ah1. Method: This scientific paper is a descriptive qualitative with case study approach. The subject was an informant who provided the necessary information during the process of the study. Result: After having health education on breastfeeding technique by using leaflet and flipchart media, Mrs. N, the mother, is able to breastfeed her baby properly. This is because she has got clearer understanding about breastfeeding technique. Conclusion: Health education breastfeeding technique by using leaflet and flipchart media can influence the process of exclusive breastfeeding.
