Abstract
Background : An effort to reduce infant mortality rate (IMR) in Indonesia is by breastfeeding. Sufficient breast milk is the best food for infants and it can meet the nutritional need of infants during the first 6 months. This is due to achieve optimal growth and development. Breastfeeding means giving nutrients needed for the growth and development of nerve and brain. This also means giving immunity substance to prevent from diseases and to create the emotional bond between mother and baby. Breastfeeding is very important for optimal growth and development of physic, mental, and intelligence. It needs attention in order to be implemented correctly. (MOH, 2008) .Midwifery care innovation for postpartum massage is woolwich massage for expediting milk production. This is done as a continuous midwifery services. Objective: Provide midwifery care in the postpartum mother by doing woolwich massage on Ny.D in Sri Jumiyati BPM. Method: This study is descriptive with a case study approach. The subject was Mrs. D, A a 18 year-old postpartum mother. This study was conducted from February 22, 2016 until April 3, 2016 . Result: Midwifery care innovation for postpartum mother is Woolwich massage method for increasing the outflow of milk production of Mrs. D, a 18 year-old postpartum mother. The result was that her breast milk which was not flow well, but then slibghtly it was flowing out and finally the milk production increased. Conclusion: The midwifery care innovation for Mrs. D was given by applying Woolwich massage. This was to expedite the milk production. The breastfeeding was finally running smoothly and slightly.
