Abstract
Background: The Emergency Room (IGD) is a unit of emergency services at a hospital that treats patients with acute illnesses and accidents according to standards. One of the successes of handling emergency patients is the response time. Response time in handling must also pay attention to the quality of the helper in order to prevent disability and save a person's life from the scene of the incident, namely the standard time for carrying out actions taken by service providers with the implementation of actions carried out by doctors and nurses in a maximum of 5 minutes starting from the patient arriving at the emergency room until the patient goes home or is transferred to the inpatient room. Purpose: To describe response time nurse in the IGD PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method: This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used a total sampling technique with a total sample of 21 people. The research instrument used an observation sheet and a watch or stopwatch (a measuring device for the duration of time). Data were processed with SPSS-25 and analyzed using the univariate test in the form of percentages. Results: The results of the response time analysis of nurses in the PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital Emergency Room were the majority according to the standard, namely <5 minutes in 20 cases (95.2%) and 1 case (4.8%) not according to the standard >5 minutes. Conclusion: The response time service in the PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital Emergency Room is in accordance with the standard, which is <5 minutes. Recommendation: Future researchers should examine the factors that influence the nurse's response time in handling the emergency room.
